Getting Started

Platform Features

UserSearch organises integrated search tools into a consistent workflow. The documented platform model is summarised below.

17 Search types

Start with the kind of identifier or subject you have, such as an email, username, phone number, name, image, domain or company.

Approximately 107 Modules

Choose a Module within a Search type. A Module is the specific search tool you run and may use one or more integrated data sources.

OneScan and Bulk search

OneScan runs one input across selected data sources. Bulk search accepts up to five inputs through one Module, and the two options can be combined.

Cases and search modes

Forensic Mode stores search history in a Case. Private mode does not store that search history.

Credits and Credit cost

Credits fund searches. The Credit cost is shown for the search option before you run it.

Team accounts

Team members can work from shared Cases and a common Credit pool controlled by the team leader.

Export and retained work

Documented export options include XLSX. Case bookmarks can be protected with a custom Case password.

Results as leads

Search results and third-party Match Accuracy indicators are investigative leads. Corroborate important findings before acting on them.

From search result to retained investigation

The dashboard brings different data sources into a shared investigation workflow, while keeping the source of returned information visible. Result summaries distinguish Found data, Enriched context and Connections that may become the next investigative lead. Third-party Match Accuracy indicators are confidence signals only and should be corroborated before a material decision is made.

Investigators can retain useful results as bookmarks, review search history and prepare reports. Forensic Mode associates search activity with a selected Case; Private mode does not store that search history. This gives the operator a deliberate choice between a retained Case workflow and a non-retained search.

Search options and costs

A Module is the specific tool being run, while a data source is the service or dataset it queries. Module costs can be free, fixed or dynamic. OneScan’s dynamic Credit cost is the sum of the selected sources, and Bulk search totals the cost of each submitted query. Global Credits fund platform searches; Sarge Credits are a separate pool for the SargeBot AI Investigation Agent.

Cases and team workflows

Team accounts can share Cases and use a common Credit pool controlled by the team leader. Within a Case, bookmarks can be protected with a custom Case password, and documented exports include XLSX. Availability indicators in the platform should be checked before beginning time-sensitive work because individual data sources may have their own status.

Verify requirements before planning an integration
