Cryptocurrency search: overview

The Cryptocurrency search type lets you look up a crypto wallet address and pull back what the underlying source holds for it. Pick it from the search composer when your starting identifier is an on-chain address rather than a username, email, phone number, or other identifier.

When to use it

Use the Cryptocurrency search type when you have a wallet address and want to:

• Review the address’s on-chain activity — its transaction history, balance, and associated metadata (via the Address Lookup Module).
• Pivot from an address to the websites that reference or accept it (via the Websites by Address Module).

The end-to-end flow

The Cryptocurrency search type follows the same search composer flow as every other search in UserSearch — see How UserSearch works for the general model.

1. In the composer header, open the Search type selector and choose Cryptocurrency. It is shown with a Bitcoin (₿) glyph and a chevron.
2. Pick a Module from the grid — Address Lookup (selected by default) or Websites by Address. The Module grid is single-select: selecting one deselects the other. The selected tile is drawn with a coral-orange highlighted border, and it loads its description, its Cost per search value, and its query form below.
3. Enter your identifier in the Wallet Address field. In the captured build the field placeholder is an Ethereum-style 0x address (e.g. 0xd8dA6BF26964aF9D7eEd9e03E53415D37aA96045), indicating the Module accepts EVM / 0x-style crypto wallet addresses.
4. Confirm the Cost per search line beneath the input before you run. With Address Lookup selected it reads “Cost per search: Free” — the Module consumes no Credits per search.
5. Select Search Now (the coral-orange button with a magnifier icon at the right of the input row) to run the query.

Caution

This search type does not expose the OneScan multi-source Module or a Choose Data Source configuration modal in the captured build — only the two single-purpose Modules above were observed. Per-search filters, entity-type tabs, and OneScan are not part of the Cryptocurrency composer as captured. What you get back

Selecting Address Lookup and running a search returns, per its Module description, transaction history, balance, and associated metadata for the address. Results populate the Search Results panel on the right, which carries the standard Found / Enriched / Connections counters and Details / Graph tabs.
