UserSearch (first-party index)

UserSearch is the platform’s own first-party data source. Rather than querying an outside third party, this Module searches UserSearch’s in-house reverse index of usernames and email addresses built from across 3000+ sites, and it also surfaces domain-ownership information. It is the built-in source you fall back on when you want UserSearch’s own coverage rather than an integrated third party.

What it is

Where most Modules hand your input off to an external data source, the UserSearch Module queries UserSearch’s own index. It is a passive OSINT source: you look up an identifier and it returns matches already held in the first-party index, without contacting the target.

What data it returns

Reverse username matches across the 3000+ sites in the UserSearch index, showing where a given username appears.
Reverse email matches, mapping an email address to accounts and profiles held in the index.
Domain ownership signals associated with the searched identifier.

Search types and Modules that use it

The UserSearch first-party source powers these UserSearch search types:

Username — the Username Search Module uses the UserSearch index as its native source.
Email — the Reverse-Email / Email Search Modules, including Domain Ownership, draw on this source.

It can also be selected as one of the contributing sources when you run OneScan under these search types, alongside the integrated third-party Modules.

How to access it in UserSearch

Choose the Username or Email search type.
Enter the identifier you want to look up.
In the Choose Data Source step, select the UserSearch Module (or include it as one of the sources in OneScan).
Run the search and review the results, which are labelled with UserSearch as the source.
