Global Scam Database (ScamSearch)
Global Scam Database (surfaced in some UserSearch screens as ScamSearch) is an integrated data source — a Module — that checks an email address against a community-reported scam corpus. Use it to find out whether an address has previously been flagged in romance, crypto-investment, or general scam reports.
What it is
Section titled “What it is”Global Scam Database is a third-party scam-reputation service that UserSearch queries on your behalf. Reports in this corpus are typically contributed by victims and investigators who log the identifiers (such as email addresses) used by scammers. When you run an Email search, UserSearch passes the address to this Module and returns whether it appears in the database.
The underlying service publishes at scamsearch.io.
What data it returns
Section titled “What data it returns”For a queried email address, this Module is expected to indicate:
- Whether the address has been reported as associated with a scam.
- The type of scam reported, where recorded — for example romance, crypto-investment, or general fraud.
What is solid: UserSearch integrates Global Scam Database and exposes it under the Email search type. Coverage figures, report counts, and data freshness are not documented here and should not be assumed.

This is a passive OSINT lookup: querying an address checks it against the existing report corpus and does not notify the address owner.
How to access it in UserSearch
Section titled “How to access it in UserSearch”- Open a new Email search.
- Enter the email address you want to check.
- Run the search and review the Global Scam Database (or ScamSearch) result alongside the other Email Modules.
The same Module may also be included when you run a OneScan across the Email search type, which executes several Modules at once.
